Ruth 4;4-6

Ruth chapter 4
Following Joshua’s life Israel as a nation followed God about forty more years and began to mix it up with the Canaanites they had not killed as God told them to do. There were several centuries of judges that ruled Israel, it was a lose governmental system still based solely on the Law of Moses but so much knowledge of the law had been forgotten and so much pagan religion mixed in with the knowledge of the law, people did about what they felt like. (Judges 17:6) In this time of Israel’s history the repeated spiritual story is repeated again in the book of Ruth. What I mean by that is there is a spiritual content in the Bible that many people do not get from the text. They seem to only get the physical/mental story and draw some sort of “life lesson” out of it to teach others, such as “see if you trust God all things will work out for you”
In Ruth we see the story of spiritual fall and spiritual dilemma we as “Adamites” find ourselves in. The spiritual concept is about Adams fall and Jesus redemption again. God had set up the birthright within the nation of Israel He had the birthright and estate redemption as part of their national law in order to keep land within the family. If a person got in a bad financial condition and had to sell off land the nearest kid (normally a brother) had first rights, and not only rights but a responsibility to do so in order to maintain family (which included taking on the responsibility of his brothers dead wife) and family land (gaining his brothers land). (Lev 25:23-28) If the person could not or would not they would take off their sandal or shoe and handed it to the other person. (Deut. 25:9-10) As you read Ruth you will see the un-named man is Adam, he was the closest of kin to humanity. Boaz was a rich and powerful man of honest report and good standing. Ruth had been married to an Israelite who was now dead. His name, Mahlon, even meant sickness. Naomi and Ruth needed a man, a leader, a protector, a provider just like humanity does spiritually. Adam is humnaities full brother, Jesus is not as close as Adam, Jesus is a half brother to humanity His mother was human but His father was God. Adam was the closest kin to the human race (full brother for this particular image but he can’t do the redemption due to his own fallen circumstances, So the right or responsibility falls to the next of kin Jesus/Boaz in the story. Naomi represents the world, Ruth represents the church that Jesus/Boaz marries. Adam is the disgraced un-sandaled. The redemption price is perfect blood and Ruth/the church who was once tied to sickness and death, could now marry another. Likewise we as humans we are tied to spiritual death, but Jesus our redeemer paid the redemption price and we are free from death and free from the law of death and can now marry Jesus on the great wedding supper in heaven. See (Matt. 22:3, 8, 10-12,)
The book of Ruth gives us insight to the redemption story. Please go right now and read the book of Ruth (all four short chapters of it). I want to use a few verses to show my point. Again, this is imagery at work. In the book of Ruth this is an insight to behind-the-scenes in the spirit realm, or maybe in the garden after God was discussing Adam’s sin with Adam. God told Adam that his domain was contaminated and needed redeemed. Adam’s repentant attitude was to do so, but he had not yet realized how badly he had messed up until the Logos explained it further. Adam, not being Deity, did not know his offspring as God knew us a trillion years before we were born, so Adam was thinking only of the real estate he could “see” or understand with his carnal understanding. This will be Ruth 4:4-6: And I The Logos, the One that will become Jesus, thought to advertise thee, Adam saying, Buy with the price of perfect blood it your domain that I gave you, that you foolishly gave to satan before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people are even born on the planet. If you Adam wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, for you Adam are the one in control of it, but if not then tell me, for you have authority here, Adam that I The Logos/Jesus may know: for there is none (no other human) to redeem it beside thee; and I Jesus as a human am after thee (chronologically). Since Adam was thinking only of the creation God gave him (i. e. “it”) and not the souls (i. e. “them”) that were in his future, And he Adam said, I will redeem it. Then said Boaz, The Logos/Jesus said. What day thou buyest pay the redemption price the field (the earth,) of the hand of Naomi, (humanity) thou must buy “Redeem” it also all of humanity of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. This speech here by Boaz, is a picture of the authority that humanity has under God. Adam had the first right, or first option, to redeem the creation and his offspring, but Adam could not redeem us, so Christ becomes the redeemer. And the kinsman Adam said, after The Logos explained the mess he had caused, I cannot redeem it for myself, I do not qualify, I have no perfect blood, lest I mar mine own inheritance: Because what you are telling me God, is, I will not be here to go on with physical life to build an inheritance for me or You, if I shed my blood for my own sin which will not count anyway. So you Logos/Jesus redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.
Some of you purest need to go grab your nitro pills, for I am about to disagree (just slightly) with the King James. I am going to ask you to go back, re-read that last section, and drop the words added by the King James translators. Mainly, the word “it”, because
“it” was added by King James to give clarity to their point, a legitimate point, that ties the events of Ruth-Boaz-Naomi and the un-named kinsman to the statutes and laws of the nation of ancient Israel (Number 5:8 and 27:11). For by adding the word “it” causes our naturally carnal minds to lean towards, think of, picture the imagery of a natural thing─ land. That was one purpose of the statute for Israel. That statute was to protect family land, and the King James team saw that and tied the two together for us. I have come to understand that there is more to the story, which I have given you above. Now, for clarity, re-read the teaching this time dropping the words in gray italics, for that was King James addition. Below I have printed it without either King James insertion or mine. The imagery changes from talking about real estate to the souls of humanity. You can see that God is using imagery to teach us more/again/repeating this all-important truth about what He is doing for fallen humanity. Again this is God, the Logos, who would become Jesus 4000 years after this conversation, talking to Adam the first man who is about to begin the human race in a fallen spiritual state, who will be in need of spiritual redemption. Naomi represents all of fallen humanity and Ruth represents the church that becomes Jesus’ (Boaz in the story) bride, and Adam the kinsman closer than Boaz/Jesus to fallen humanity and the thing to be redeemed are the souls of humanity…… So here goes dropping the added words by King James and myself……………………….. And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem, redeem, but if thou wilt not redeem tell me, that I may know: for there’s none to redeem beside thee; and I after thee. And he said, I will redeem. Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem.
Jesus did redeem humanity and the church that comes out of humanity will become the bride of Jesus, just as Ruth became the bride of Boaz. Note in verse 10 it says (cutting into the flow of the verse)…Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off… Mahlon means “sick”. Ruth was tied to “sickness” until death did part her and sickness. In the same way, we are tied to our flesh until death parts us. In the story, sickness (Ruth’s husband) has died and she is free to marry another. If you have done the Romans 10:9-10 thing, then in the spirit realm your old, dead, fallen human, spirit has been buried with Christ. Col. 2:12 and Rom. 6:4 tell us we are… Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
